International opera star comes home to sing! Sydney Mancasola has been praised by the New York Times for her "lovely lyric soprano and radiant high notes." Mancasola, a Redding native who has been touring the globe from New Zealand to Chile, will be returning home to perform a special concert presented by Mercy Foundation North celebrating Mercy Medical Center Redding's 75th anniversary. To help celebrate her homecoming, she reached out to lifelong acquaintances Dashiell Waterbury, a tenor, and violinist Michael Eby. Rounding out the ensemble will be Mancasola's partner, the British/Irish bass singer Barnaby Rea. The foursome will be accompanied by the North State Symphony under the direction of Brian Stone. "Sydney Mancasola and Friends" will invigorate your soul, refresh your spirit and renew your passion for singing! Buy your tickets here!
This special concert will benefit Palliative Care at Mercy Medical Center Redding. Palliative Care serves as a bridge between physicians, caregivers, the patients, and their families. The goal of the Palliative Care Team is to accompany each patient on the journey from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their treatment, focusing on the emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical needs of the patient and his or her loved ones.
