Surgical Services Campaign at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital is the sole hospital in Tehama County and shoulders the responsibility of maintaining the community’s only birth center, running the only emergency room, operating the only ambulance fleet, and managing the only surgical center. To respond to the ever-increasing surgical demands of Tehama County residents, the hospital is initiating a Surgical Services upgrade.

The purpose of this Surgical Services upgrade is to prepare the hospital for the installation of a da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.

The upgrades will occur in three stages:

  • Phase 1:  Decontamination system upgrade
  • Phase 2:  OR tower replacement (scopes, cameras, monitors)
  • Phase 3:  Advanced surgical lighting, flooring, paint, and other cosmetic upgrades

Impact of installed da Vinci Robotic Surgical System

Key impacts to be expected:

  • Physician Recruitment: Upgraded surgical suites will give St. Elizabeth's a competitive edge.
  • Better Outcomes: Smaller cuts, less pain, fewer complications, shorter hospital stays, & less scarring.
  • Care Closer to Home: Expanded kind of surgeries without traveling.

Mercy Foundation North is proud to embark on this $1 million fundraising campaign. By supporting this project, our community is saying we are ready to be a destination for advanced healthcare.

We are eager to answer any questions you may have about this impactful project.
